Transworld Surf is currently holding their annual Cali Rally and since Catch Surf was involved, we decided to share some pictures from the madness as it unfolds. For all you who don’t know what Cali Rally is, here is a little insight to what it’s all about: The TransWorld SURF Cali Rally is an annual scavenger hunt style race from San Diego to Santa Cruz. Featuring four teams of four surfers, each team gets a list of “challenges” that they must complete to earn points that go towards their overall Cali Rally point total. Along the way, teams must compete in four “Checkpoint Challenges” that range from shirtless paintball wars to tandem BMX races. Checkpoint Challenges are worth 1,000 points each. Extra points are awarded at the discretion of TransWorld SURF and can be earned for various feats including broken bones, heroic acts of courage, and making out with old ladies. Previous winning teams include Analog (2009) and Billabong (2008).

Check out the custom stamped Beater Original 54’s we made for the Cali Rally competitors.

These guys are hardcore and will do anything to win like this TWS tattoo to the foot!

Team Ergo’s Corban Campbell racking up the points by getting slingshotted under a freeway bridge in Oceanside with the Banshee Bungee. Don’t get fooled by the clear looking water, this mission was dirty!!!

The Sector Nine team paddles their yellow Beater around a fountain at night somewhere in downtown San Diego. This was probably the first Beater fountain session ever!

Our marketing guy Chris just got back from a little vacation to Hawaii and he snapped a few pics along the way for all you bloggers to enjoy! This first pic is an example of some of the European styling you can see on the tourist beaches! Hawaii is definitely paradise for a number of reasons!

Along with beautiful beaches, Hawaii also has it’s share of perfect waves and if you know where to look, you can find uncrowded perfection like this! When surfing anywhere in Hawaii, it’s also important to respect the locals, because if you don’t you might be treated to a healthy knuckle sandwich!

Here’s a nice picture of a stoked shredder drawing a clean line on his Beater board at Sandy beach. This picture was snapped by HLI’s Darren Akana sometime last week.

This is pretty cool, someone stoked on Catch Surf in Hawaii posted up a nice little Catch Surf sticker on a trash can right when you enter the Honolulu airport. Remember folks, anyone can get FREE Catch Surf stickers, just go to the sticker section of our website and find out how!

Where else can you find amazing fried shrimp burgers and Thai shrimp plate lunches like this?

Our marketing guy Chris taking a break from the beach chair to have some fun on the Super ONE. There’s nothing better than 75 degree water and surfing in t-shirts! Pic.Byrne

Ahhhhh, paradise!!! Pic.Byrne

Catch Surf street teamers in Hawaii!

The sunsets are always top-notch in Hawaii!

Wanna get around surfboard baggage fees, pack your Super ONE in a trash bag like this! This style of packing can sometimes result in a damaged board, but at least you don’t have to pay that lousy $150 per board…..

This past Saturday the Beater Bonanza contest went down in Virginia Beach and contestants were treated to fun 2-3′ waves and 80 degree weather! There were 32 Beater shredders in the contest all ripping, but it was none other than Ocean City’s Tyler Tremiellen taking the second consectutive East Coast Beater contest win! This first picture is of the three top dogs who shredded all the way to the finals and the results went like this:
1st place: Tyler Tremiellen, Ocean City, MD
2nd place: Tyler Bohn, Virginia Beach, VA
3rd place: Anthony Dellicapini, Virginia Beach, VA

The reigning Beater champ of the East Coast, Tyler Tremiellen driving all the way from the Ocean City to come and rip Virginia Beach apart on his Beater. Along with this win, Tyler also won the Beater Finless Fiesta last month in Maryland, so it’s pretty safe to say that this kid is the champ. When you shred your Beater hard like Tyler, you also get hot chicks like Tyler’s girlfriend!

Zoe (right) and Kai (left) are two female Beater shredders from Virginia Beach that ripped all the way to the semi-finals of the Beater Bonanza.

Just like all the Catch Surf contests, even if your not in a heat, it’s all about grabbing a board and having fun in the surf all day. Some groms decide to hit the surf on their Beaters and Y-Quads while a guy on the outside trims down the line on his Beater.

Second place finisher and Virginia Beach pro surfer Tyler Bohn streaking on a clean little set wave.

Big thanks to Catch Surf rep and rider Ricky Miller for putting on the Catch Surf Beater Bonanza.
