Brian Peterson- Head Shaper

Brian is soo busy that we didn’t have time to shoot a pic of his hands, so we decided to show a picture of some of his tools. Brian has been shaping bodyboards and surfboards for over 24 years and is considered one of the leading innovators in the bodyboard industry. His implementation of the CNC shaping machines have allowed us to create the most high performance soft surfboards and bodyboards on the market. Being a former national bodyboard champion and avid surfer, Brian knows how boards should perform and it reflects in the products Catch Surf puts out.

Kevin Wood- Shaper

This is Kevin’s hands and his lucky shaping knife which has been creating surfboards and bodyboards for well over 20 years! Kevin is an avid surfer/fisherman and has shaped for some of the leading companies in the industry. Kevin is our top guy on the Y-Quad surfboard rails and he’s is the guy for getting them so nice and crisp unlike our competitors.

Erik Troxell- Shaper

Troxell, as we call him around here has been shaping boards now for about 4 years and is the only other shaper besides Brian carrying the 805 flag! Both Erik and BP grew up together in Central California and spent their younger years charging the 805 area together and charging all the local breaks. BP and Troxell make a good team and are stoked to work together making sweet a$$ boards at Catch Surf.

Mike Maccarone- Shaper/Beater boy/bodyboarder/Surfer/Guitarist/Foot bag Pro/Skater

As you can see by Mike’s hand picture, he’s definitely the wild child of the factory. Mike has almost been here a year and can been seen everyday cruising in on his skateboard, hair still dripping from the morning session and blairing Swedish death metal as he walks in the door…The one thing Mike does know, is what a good board looks like as this kid has been ripping on the local scene for years and whether he’s Beatering, bodyboarding or skimming, this kid can throw it down in the salt water! His friends around town know him as MACCADEATH and he’s always claiming San Clemente to the fullest..

Bill “Beaker” Bryan- Shaper/Best Skimboarder on the Planet/Flow king/Beater ripper/ONE ripper/10st.bros Godfather

These are Bill’s hands and they have held up 15 World Champion Skimboard trophies over the years. Besides being the most accomplished skimboarder on the planet, Bill also comes in once and awhile and shapes up some sick boards for us. If you look at Bill’s hands you can also see his new HD GoPro camera which he has been using to get some new sick footage of him skimming and surfing on our ONE board. Whatever board Bill Bryan rides, he rips it and we are stoked to have him on the Catch Surf team!
