Rick Napoliello sent us some pics of him skimming his ONE board a couple of days ago in Sea Girt New Jersey. Rick is one hardcore dude because that water has to be in like the 40’s which is too bone chilling for most.

Rick with the nice shwack to re-entry skimming the ONE. Thanks for sharing your pictures Rick and if any of you reading this would like to share your pics with us and you think they are good enough for the daily blog, send them in!

Some pics from Oahu of the boys having fun
Thursday, January 21st, 2010
Our homie in Oahu Darren Akanna sent us some pics of the boys having fun on their Catch Surf boards this past weekend. This first pic is of Jack Sonoda about to go catch a couple on his Beater board.

Jack Sonoda’s first go on the Beater and he was already holding solid lines backside on a finless model!

Former professional bodyboarder and Catch Surf rep Rollins Wood getting some fun little shacks on the 5′6″ Y Quad surfboard.

Rollins Wood bottom turning over the shallow shashimi rocks. The beauty of the Y Quad boards is you can surf shallow beach breaks or reefs and don’t have to worry about your board breaking or getting a ding.
Thank You to Darren for sending us the sweet pics of the boys!
Aliso Beach dumpers
Wednesday, January 20th, 2010
The Catch Surf crew is finally back from Florida and today they were hoping to surf, but,,,,that’s not gonna happen..The storms here in Southern California are creating some massive storm surf, but unfortunately it’s a little too rough for surfing. When the storm surf is pumping, it’s always fun to go check out Aliso because it’s always got some sick barrels. We went and shot a couple empty drainers before the next batch of rain hits. There was some really sick barrels, but the water is sooo polluted nobody was out!

Below sea level shorebreak dumper easily 8ft.

The waves were so big at Aliso last night, that you could tell that the water washed into the parking lot and city workers were there trying to clean it.

Virginia Beach ripper and WRV bodyboard guru Geoff “Moose” Martin checked out the new Division 71 bodyboards and was stoked on the new boards and is pumped on a new company finally making a proper push in the bodyboard scene!
Cool Grom Michael Kapica

We met this cool grom named Michael Kapica while at the Florida Surf Expo and he just got a One board and has been loving it!

With the Surf Expo finished, we decided hit up the FL-Atlantic coast for some waves and check out some shops. This pic shows the boys getting ready to go out at Sebastian Inlet, but when we all saw the waves we decided to head north to Whitey’s where the waves were a touch bigger.

The beautiful beach path down to Whitey’s

We were treated to some fun little offshore peaks. Only bummer was the water was a chilly 57 degrees.

The boys walking down the beach as a perfect little mini peeler cracks in the distance.

George holding the 2010 Y Quad board with FCS fin boxes. That’s right, now you will be able to use your favorite FCS fins in all the Catch Surf Y Quad boards. George got some sick little pits out there and with the extra float of the Y Quad, he was making sections the other guys weren’t.

Our bodyboard marketing guru Chris Monroe also got to ride the first Division 71 bodyboard on the East Coast. The patented Black Lite core had perfect flex and projection in the quick little barrels at Whitey’s. The sunset reflection on the black Suryln bottom looks pretty sick in this photo.

For some reason there was dead fish everywhere on the beach, maybe it is the strange cold water Florida has been experiencing.

Another empty nugget with no one around.

Good times at Whitey’s today!
Surf Expo tradeshow day 3

Artist getting wild in the middle of the tradeshow. Pretty cool mural!

Really? Who buys this? If you buy stuff like this, please exit our website immediately! Janky booth for sure.

Really x2! Janky boards.

Who buys this kinda sh*t in 2010?

With a successful first Surf Expo under Catch Surf’s belt, the boss decided to take us out to a fancy dinner. Head shaper Brian Peterson picks his cut of meat before the feast.

The Catch Surf crew pre-feast.

George, the president of Catch Surf enjoying quite a few martinis tonight!

After dinner it was straight to the bar, where all the boys enjoyed some punching video games and karioke. Marketing guy Chris Monroe with the pre-punch action.

George with a solid punch, but it was Brian Peterson with the hardest punch, landing a score of 8805!

Ricky Miller with the rugged karioke. He sung one of the worst renditions of Weezer ever!

Florida liquor stores are pretty sweet, they have real stuffed $80 alligator heads for sale.

They also have killer outdated post cards.

The Catch Surf booth lots of interest and building east coast distribution. If your local shop doesn’t have it, make sure they get it!

Divsion 71 bodyboards, coming soon!

Ricky Miller street teaming the Beater posters all over….

Ricky already staking dibs on some of the samples for himself. He wants the suPEr model which is tricked out with dow core, double stringers and a Surlyn bottom.

Division 71 shaper Brian Peterson and a fatty stack of boards he made. Brian makes some sweet a$$ boards!

Surf Expo Tradeshow day 1

The massive Orlando convention center in Florida.

The Catch Surf crew at the shows start hanging out. This is the people behind the brand, no corporate suit investors or non-beach-going money mongers.. Just surfers trying to share the stoke…
The Y boards looking nice and cherry……

There was a freaking SUP pool in the middle of the show! Crazy…

Enter Division 71, Catch Surf’s new bodyboard brand. These bodyboards are designed by world renowned shaper Brian Peterson and infuse new materials and construction to take bodyboards to a new level. Check back tomorrow for more pics of the D71 goodies.

Naki Surf pro rider Jun Jo from Hawaii stopped by the booth and was pumped on the Beater. He was talking about the Makapuu and Sandy’s Beater crew he’s been seeing, so if you Makapuu or Sandy’s guys check this, send us the shots!!!
Phil Hudson with the Beater shuvit
Monday, January 11th, 2010
Yes it is hard to capture a shuvit surfing and especially shooting water, but Stoehr was able to get the job done as best as possible. Phil is pretty hardcore doing standups in the middle of winter in Maryland….

Pre-pop….

Phildo getting all 54″ of foam around.

And the finish. Everyone love the shuvit on the Beater….
