CJ Drummy has been busting airs on his Y-Quad. And finally we got the footy from him. We can tell you all day that the Y-Quad rips. But proof is in the pudding. And CJ’s serving up a lot of pudding on his 5-0 Y-Quad. Can your soft surfboard do that?

C.J. also rips the BEATER from time to time too!

CJ Drummy was out on the 5′0″ Y quad and eventhough it was slow he managed to punt a few airs.

CJ got some sick turns too!

Mike Maccarone, the first Beater team rider, always throws down when he’s out.

Even our sales manager Joel got in on the action. The Y Quad works insane on the smaller days.

Little Rocket was out riding a Beater and got some of the longest rides of the day.

After a year of being landlocked in Colorado, Johnny Redmond is back in Southern California and now on the Beater squad!

Johnny’s first wave in a year and shwacked a nice little section with his fresh Beater. Now that Johnny is back living in southern California , expect to see some sick stand up action from him on our website!

Johnny on his second wave.
Here’s an old video of Johnny killing it from a few years ago.

Pro surfer and Catch Surf rider CJ Drummy stopped by yesterday to pick up a Beater and also share some sick footage of him owning it on his 5′ Y Quad. This morning we got some ridiculous photos of CJ killing it at Salt Creek on his Y Quad and we will be posting the photos shortly on our photo section.

The man, the legend, the myth, Tom Morey was in the office today and was working on some top secret boards in his laboratory. In this photo he’s posing with a fresh 5′6″ Y Quad direct from the shaping bay.

Jay Reale and his son, all smiles as he picks up a cherry 6 footer.

Naki surf is our Japanese distributor and they stopped by the factory today to pick up a fresh batch of cherry Hans Hagen Y Quads. Naki Surf only carries the legit surfboard brands like Lost, Cole, Doc, Aviso and of course Catch Surf. Check them out at www.nakisurf.com

Naki Surf manager Taro with the pro van loading skills. Taro’s the man!

Catch Surf is proud to announce Shea Porter as the first grom rider on flow. Shea is one of the local T-Street rat groms and kills it surfing, bodyboarding and skimming! Shea is a great mini ambassador for the Beater style and will for sure be future pro ripper some day!

Eventhough the waves have been a bit small here in Southern California, it didn’t stop some of the boys from busting finless on the Beaters! With T-Street being small and mushy as usual, we decided to get some video of the groms busting on the Beaters the past couple days*. In this frame grab we see Mike doing a nice carve down the line while sharing a wave with Barry the bodyboarder.
(*Beater video edit coming soon to the blog)

This is Colton Overin and this morning he was randomly out busting the tail out on his Beater. He pulled this snap along with many other sick little tricks including some multiple 360’s. When not Beatering, this kid is usally killing it on his shortboard as a top grom amateur on the Hurley team.

Little Rocket skying it to the moon with a pretty sweet ragdoll air.

Macca again with a sick floater shwack that he pulled flawlessly, definitely the shwack of the day.

Ok, so this last pic is not a Beater pic, but it is bodyboard legend Jay “ebodyboarding.com” Reale floating his 6′ Y Quad about 16 miles away from the camera.

Yeah I know everyone has seen this shot, but come on, it’s sick. Probably the only rat to get truly slotted.
